How does TrainTracker work?

TrainTracker uses speech recognition which lets you say what you want.

TrainTracker then looks up the estimated train times from our Live Departure and Arrivals Boards and speaks this information to you.

TrainTracker can also be accessed on station-specific numbers and is useful if you regularly travel to or from the same station.

Costs

Your message to TrainTracker Text will cost the normal text message rate charged by your operator. The reply to you will cost 25p including VAT, and will be charged to you by your operator. You are only charged for replies containing departure/arrival information. You will not be charged for error messages.

Getting started

For departures:
Type in dep and a station name eg dep Oxford
This gives you the next few real-time departures - including any delays - from Oxford station to anywhere.

For arrivals:
Type in arr and a station name eg arr Oxford
This gives you the next few real-time arrivals - including any delays - from Oxford station to anywhere.

Advanced options

• Type in dep and a station name and to and a station name eg dep Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads - This gives you the next few departures from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads from the current time.
• Type in dep and a station name and to and a station name and a time eg dep Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads 1730  - This gives you the next few departures from Paddingon to Bristol Temple Meads from 17:30.
• Type in arr and a station name and to and a station name and a time eg arr Reading from Plymouth 1900 - This gives you trains, arriving in Reading at or after 19:00, which have stopped at Plymouth.
• Type in arr 3-letter code and to and 3-letter code eg arr PMH from BRI 0730 - This gives you trains from Bristol Temple Meads arriving in Portsmouth Harbour at, or after, 07:30.
