Weekend First upgrade
Weekend First lets you upgrade from Standard to First Class on most First Great Western routes at weekends and bank holidays, for as little as £5. You’ll benefit from the extra comfort that First Class accommodation offers, and any complimentary refreshments available, including hot drinks, mineral waters, biscuits and crisps.
The upgrade price depends on the number of zones you travel through - travel within one zone is £5, two zones £10, three zones £15, four or five zones £20. Download our Weekend First zonal pricing map.
Buy your Weekend First upgrade on board any First Great Western service which has First Class accommodation. Please note Weekend First is not available to purchase at ticket offices. It is available in conjunction with all Standard Class tickets and passes. A First Great Western Weekend First upgrade is not valid on services run by other train operators.
