How do Through Fares to the Continent work?

Pay only once
Choose your departure station from a choice of 32 on the FGW network, and travel all the way to your Continental destination paying only one fare. Once you've booked your journey, tickets will immediately be sent direct to your door or can be collected at the stations.

Booking and receiving your tickets

  • Call Eurostar's contact centre on 08705 186 186 or book your journey online
  • Plan your itinerary with a member of the contact centre team who will be able to suggest the best routes, journey times and fares
  • Once you've booked by phone, your First Great Western and Eurostar tickets will be posted to you immediately
  • If you book online, then your tickets will be available for collection using your reference numbers at the regional UK station and Eurostar ticket machines for each leg of the journey
  • Remember, one fare covers your whole journey from UK departure station to your Continental destination (and back if it's a return).

Ticket validity for London Underground
For your convenience, when making your way from London Paddington to St Pancras International, your First Great Western tickets will be valid for transfers on London Underground. For more advice on transfers see how to get to and from St Pancras International.
