If you want to explore the region by train in a day, then a Day Ranger ticket is your best buy. It gives you the freedom to make as many journeys as you like on our trains along the route, or area of your choice.

All Ranger tickets (except the Devon Evening Ranger) are valid for travel after 0900 Mondays to Fridays (earlier from certain stations between Weymouth and Bristol), and at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. The Devon Evening Ranger is valid for travel after 1800 (and can also be used on the 1724 Gunnislake to Plymouth service). Ranger and Rover tickets can be purchased at most staffed stations anywhere in Britain. You can also buy them from our Customer Services team on 08457 000 125. Lines are open 0700 to 2200, please allow three working days for delivery of your ticket.
Ranger and Rover tickets are even better value if you are a holder of a Railcard, giving you an extra discount. Holders of Senior, Young Persons and Disabled Person's Railcards receive an extra 1/3rd discount. Click here for more information on railcards.
